Lifeline Albury Wodonga Out Of The Shadows Walk 2025 Program
Each year we gather at the sunrise of World Suicide Prevention Day to walk along the banks of the Murray River in Albury to honour those lost to suicide and to bring their memory into the light, removing the stigma around suicide.
Lifeline’s ‘Out of the Shadows’ walks enable those whose lives have been touched by suicide to connect with others and feel comfortable to have a conversation about it.
Thousands of people across Australia join Lifeline’s ‘Out of the Shadows’ walks which coincide with World Suicide Prevention Week. Our walk takes place on Wednesday 10th September starting at the Kremur Street boat ramp at 6am and taking a short walk along the Wagirra walking trail to Hovell Tree Park. Together, we watch the sun rise as we walk and hold a short memorial service.

This year participants also have the option to fundraise for Lifeline Albury Wodonga, if you would like to do so, please follow this link or scan the QR Code and register: https://www.outoftheshadowswalk.org.au/fundraisers/lifelinealburywodonga
If you raise $39 dollars, you will receive a FREE Out Of The Shadows T-Shirt to show your support for the event! – Please refer to your fundraising portal for more information.
